MHI is celebrating the closing of its 30,000th home. Since the company's inception in 1988, the Texas builder has experienced tremendous growth through its signature brands -- Coventry, Plantation, Pioneer Homes and Carmel Builders.

MHI celebrated its 30,000th closing with the Carriere family earlier this year. Frank and Yolanda Carriere chose the Bedford IV design by Plantation Homes in the master-planned community of Grand Mission. The Carriere's were drawn to the builder's flexibility and the freedom to make decisions regarding the home's design, such as adding a bonus room and half bath, a feature available in many designs.

Being native Houstonians, the Carrieres also appreciated Grand Mission's easy access to various parts of the city. The new Westpark Tollway offers a convenient commute to both the Galleria area and Downtown. "It's close to everything without being in the city," said Frank Carriere.
