McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (MHI) is excited to be part of the continued success of Magnolia Creek, a links-style golf course community in League City. Beginning Fall 2002, MHI will oversee the development of Magnolia Creek in conjunction with David Weekley Homes. MHI is one of the original builders featured in this popular community with its signature collection of designs under the Coventry Homes brand.

"We're proud to be able to continue our efforts in Magnolia Creek in our new capacity both as a developer partner and builder," according to Jim Zimmermann, General Manager of Land at MHI. "Magnolia Creek is located along the FM 518 corridor which has experienced an explosion of growth over the past few years" added Zimmermann.

League City has proven to be a haven for homeowners. The region has a small town feel and great nearby amenities. League City's projected growth rate of 239.76 percent far exceeds the growth projections for the state according to a recent study by the consulting firm of Wallace Roberts & Todd. The population is expected to more than triple by the year 2025.

Located about 25 miles south of Downtown Houston, Magnolia Creek is situated 2.5 miles west of I-45 south and offers easy access to Beltway 8. Future development will include approximately 1,100 homes over a five to six year span.

Magnolia Creek surfaced in early 1999 under the direction of KW Interest and Lynn Watkins. The landscape underwent a massive transformation to a dune-filled, links-style golf course.

Rolling terrain and sweeping views now encompass the 27-hole golf course with a Scottish influence complete with knolls, berms, and small hills.

MHI will continue to build its signature brand -- Coventry Homes as well as the Plantation Homes brand in Magnolia Creek.
