Pioneer Homes recently partnered with KHOU-TV and Gallery Furniture in Houston to pay tribute to the men and women of the U.S. armed forces by giving away a new Pioneer Home full of Gallery Furniture to one deserving military family.

On May 28th, KHOU-TV Channel 11 aired Military Makeover, a 30 minute program that showed the selection of the winning family, the designers as they decorated and the final completed Pioneer Home.

The Petry family was selected by a panel of judges as the winners of the 1st annual "Military Makeover". The father of the seven-member family is currently serving in Iraq and has been active military for over 19 years.

The Petry's were awarded with the Warren IV design, one of a more popular home designs by Pioneer Homes. With over 2,000 square feet, this four bedroom, two bath home features a formal dining room, a spacious kitchen/breakfast area open to the family room, and a covered back patio with French doors to the master suite.

Other highlights of the home include beautiful arches, decorative columns, and art niches.
