Manvel, TX (November 11, 2009)... The new master-planned community of Sedona Lakes
in Manvel will grand open in January with five new model homes by four respected
home builders, a new amenity center and whole lot of entertainment.
Although Sedona Lakes is currently open for sales, residential developer Marlin
Atlantis is grand opening the community to the public on the weekend of January
30th with fun for the entire family. Possible events, weather permitting, include
tethered hot air balloon rides, skydivers, choirs, ensembles and theater arts groups
from Alvin ISD, and a showing of Memorial Hermann’s Life Flight helicopter. The
City of Manvel will also be displaying a police car, a motorcycle, an ambulance
and a fire truck for children to peruse.
Coventry Homes is priced from the $290s and building a brand new model home with
an anticipated December completion. The builder is pre-selling from a sales office
in Sedona Lakes with lots of interest from area residents. The model home, Design
7288, is one of the Coventry’s more popular designs. A dramatic curved staircase
is flanked by both formals. An impressive family room opens to an island kitchen.
The master is located downstairs for privacy. Upstairs the game room is central
to the secondary bedrooms. With over 3,900 square feet, four bedrooms and four and
a half baths, this home is sure to please.
One of the best features of Sedona Lakes is its location, just 14 miles south of
the Medical Center, 16 miles from Downtown, and under five minutes to the new Pearland
Town Center, retail, restaurants, theaters and local medical services. The community
is nestled right off US 288 just two exits south of traffic congestion at FM 518.
Because of the community’s immediate access to 288, Sedona Lakes’ home buyers will
not have to navigate through heavy traffic and congested lights just to get to 288
for their morning commute.
Sedona Lakes is conveniently located on US 288 and CR 101, just south of Pearland.
When the 530-acre community is complete, it will have miles of walking trails along
lakes and creeks and an on-site Alvin ISD elementary school. Mustang Bayou runs
through the middle of the property and provides natural beauty and mature trees
with a portion of the bayou area dedicated to Manvel for a future city park. Quiet
serenity at home, with an easy commute to the office, and conveniently located community
retail is the plan behind the neighborhood.
Until the new elementary school is built in Sedona Lakes, elementary school-age
children will attend exemplary-rated E.C. Mason Elementary. Sedona Lakes’ middle
school is Manvel Jr. High School, and its high school is the recently built, state-of-the-art
Manvel High School. Adult education opportunities exist at Alvin Community College,
and the University of Houston Central campus is located approximately 16 miles north
of Sedona Lakes.
One of the best things about Sedona Lakes will be it tranquil, natural setting bordered
by trees and enhanced by water features including lakes, wetlands and meandering
streams, which are home to dozens of ducks and other water fowl who have made this
enclave their home for decades. Pocket parks will dot the community. Natural rock
has been incorporated into many of the common areas to keep with the tranquil theme
many enjoy when thinking of Sedona.
